Freeburg Community Bible Church (CBC) started to take shape
when several people (who were attending various Bible studies in
the community) began discussing the possibility of starting a
bible-believing congregational church in Freeburg. Many were
driving a good distance just to attend various churches and felt
the need for a non-denominational bible teaching & preaching
church in our own community.
So in August of 2000, Freeburg CBC had it's first service on
the Binder homestead (out in the woods!!!). Since then, we have
met at the Carpenter's Hall in Freeburg and have recently bought
the building (and property) that we have been renting at 206
Wuest Lane. We are looking forward to building another six
classrooms for Sunday school.
Over the years, we have learned some difficult lessons about
starting a new church, but we continue to learn and grow. We are
thankful for the blessings God has given us as a church and all
of the hard work provided by are current and prior members. We
continue to seek God's will and do His work in our community.
